During my senior year, I participated in the Lanier Hackathon, which I had participated in the two previous years. This year, the prompt was service. This meant we had to develop an app that helped other people. I teamed up with my sister, and we created Wings, an application that connects mentors with people looking for guidance in a specific field. Because we had only 2 days to develop it, we had to fake a lot of things, but the demonstration worked great! We ended up taking top prize for best technical demonstration, the highest prize that you could win.
The way the application works is that when you first load the app, it sends you to a blank scene that looks for saved data, and if you have a saved profile, it goes to either the mentor or mentee part of the app. If you don't, it takes you to a part of the app where you can create one. Like I said, I had to fake a lot. Because of this, the browse and contact screens are only images, with no actual functionality. Much of this was only meant to demonstrate our concept.
